„Nintendo’s modern Zelda team have turned one of the best games of the 1990s into one of the best games of the 2020s, and made time-travellers out of us all,“ – The Guardian
„An iconic all-time story has been reborn for a new generation, and it’s the best iteration of the classic Nintendo 64 favorite we’ve gotten yet. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Switch 2 is a must-play, whether you’re a franchise fan or not, and one of the best examples of how to properly reimagine an enduring masterpiece.“ – Destructoid
„Was it always this good? Were the dungeons always so complex and challenging, but also so playful, so coherent? Were the bosses always driven by interesting ideas and drama and humour rather than difficulty? Was the world always so rich with minor characters who linger in the mind – the accordion player in the windmill, the gravedigger who has his own tour he’d really like you to try out? It’s impossible for me to say at this point….
It’s pleasant to look at, but it sometimes doesn’t look specifically like Zelda anymore.“ –Eurogamer
„While the N64 original operated at a conservative 20fps, the Switch 2 remake targets and holds a fluid 60. Frame delivery remains exceptionally consistent across both docked and handheld modes, providing an effortlessly smooth experience. This dramatic leap in fluidity greatly improves action sequences, platforming timing, and general exploration throughout Hyrule.“ – Digital Foundry
„Every side-quest, minigame, or hidden grotto feels bespoke, like it was sculpted to contain one memorable secret. […] No two activities feel like the result of designers copying and pasting assets throughout the world just to fill a game with more hour-eating busy work. It stands in proud contrast to modern adventure games that do so much less with so much more.“ – Polygon
„While this version of Ocarina of Time looks a million miles away from the blocky original – it maintains the same playability, feel and character that made people fall so deeply in love with the game. A must-buy.“ – Daily Star
„The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is both an exceptional remake of an incredible game and a rich adventure that stands on its own. This remake proves there’s still so much value in the traditional Zelda formula: the dense, intimate world of Hyrule is stuffed with charming characters and fascinating secrets.“ – IGN
