Im Verlauf der aktuellen Woche haben Disney und Lucasfilm wohl mehrere Werbeevents zu dem kommenden Film „The Mandalorian and Grogu“ veranstaltet. Während dieser Events durften ausgewählte Mitglieder der Presse wohl einen Blick auf die ersten 25 Minuten des Films werfen. Auch wenn das offizielle Embargo für den gesamten Film erst am 19. Mai 2026 endet und wir vorher keine vollwertigen Reviews erhalten werden, so durften die Gäste von Lucasfilm aber scheinbar trotzdem bereits über die ersten 25 Minuten sprechen.
Diese ersten Reviews zu den Anfängen des Films sind im Grunde alle extrem positiv. Laut diesen Reaktionen verzichtet der Film komplett auf einen sanften Start und er beginnt direkt auf eine sehr bombastische Weise. Viele Pressevertreter beschreiben die Anfänge als ein episches Spektakel, welches Din Djarin und Grogu in en Kampf gegen Überreste des Imperiums schickt. Angeblich sind diese Szenen sowohl optisch als auch inhaltlich hervorragend umgesetzt worden. Dazu kommen noch Andeutungen auf eine größere Geschichte in dem hinteren Teil des Films, die zumindest sehr positiv beginnt.
Ansonsten betonten die Reviewer auch noch, dass viele in den Trailern verwendete Szenen aus diesen ersten 25 Minuten des Films stammen. Lucasfilm und Disney halten die späteren Teile der Geschichte also absichtlich etwas geheim, um nicht im Vorfeld zu viel zu enthüllen. Fans von Star Wars dürfen also wohl davon ausgehen, dass der Film ab der Mitte eine etwas andere Richtung einschlägt und sich in Bereiche begibt, die noch nicht durch die Teaser und Trailer angedeutet wurden.
