Zwischen dem kommenden Mittwoch, den 26. August und Sonntag, dem 30. August 2026 wird in Köln die diesjährige Gamescom 2026 stattfinden. Diese Messe für Computerspiele und angrenzende Themen hat sich in den letzten Jahren zu dem größten Event seiner Art entwickelt. Daher ist es auch nicht verwunderlich, dass aktuell Menschen auf der ganzen Welt nach Köln blicken und gespannt auf den Start dieser Gaming-Messe warten.
Der für viele Menschen wichtigste Teil der Gamescom 2026 dürfte der Opening Night Live (ONL) Stream am morgigen Dienstag, den 25. August 2026 sein. In dieser von Geoff Keighley moderierten Show werden Publisher und Entwickler eine Vielzahl von Trailer und Videos zu ihren kommenden Spielen und anderen Projekten mit der Öffentlichkeit teilen. Die Show selbst startet zwar erst um 20:00 Uhr, aber auch in 2026 wird es wieder eine ab 19.30 Uhr laufende Pre-Show mit kleineren Ankündigungen geben.
Weitere interessante Shows auf der Gamescom 2026 sollten die am 26. August anstehende Future Games Show, dass am Wochenende stattfindende Games Done Quick Event und die am 28. August verliehenen Gamescom Awards sein. Gleichzeitig dürfen Besucher der Messe vor Ort natürlich einen Blick auf viele kommende Spiele werfen und sie in kurzen Testphasen ausprobieren.
